Śnieżka once again awarded the EcoVadis medal
For the second time, Śnieżka's sustainability efforts have been evaluated by EcoVadis. In this edition of the survey, the company received a score of 74 out of 100, representing a 4-point increase compared to the previous survey. As in the previous evaluation, Śnieżka ranks in the top 6% of companies, which this time places it in the top 15% of entities awarded the silver medal.
EcoVadis is an international platform that evaluates companies in terms of sustainability in 4 areas:
- Care for the natural environment and climate,
- Respect for human rights and labor law,
- Ethical business conduct,
- Sustainable supply chain
This year’s high score and silver medal confirm that Śnieżka’s activities go hand in hand with the principles of sustainable development.
A better result by 4 points confirms that we have achieved our goal of progressing in our rating. However, this was not sufficient to maintain the gold medal. This is primarily due to the increase in the average ratings of the other companies analyzed. The high score of 74 points, a strong silver medal, summarizes our efforts, predominantly in the areas of the environment, employee well-being, supply chain sustainability, and business ethics. We would like to thank everyone who contributed to this achievement, particularly those involved in the evaluation and implementation of activities related to sustainable development."
Śnieżka’s sustainability efforts, so highly rated by EcoVadis, stem from the company’s strategy in this area, which has been implemented for several years. Recent months have seen intensive work for the Śnieżka Group to prepare a report in line with new European Union guidelines.
EcoVadis’s evaluation criteria are based on international sustainability standards, including the GRI Sustainability Reporting Guidelines for Companies, the ISO 26000 standard, and the UN Global Compact principles. Not only does the platform evaluate companies’ operational sustainability performance but it also conducts risk mitigation and innovation support activities.
