The Śnieżka Group advanced in the ranking of the best employers

The Polish companies of the Śnieżka Group advanced for the second year in a row in the "50 Best Employers" ranking of the "Wprost" weekly - in the 2021 ranking they took 20th place. Śnieżka is the only representative of paint and varnish manufacturers selected by the editors to this prestigious cluster. This year, the editors focused also on aid activities for Ukraine undertaken by companies.

The “50 Best Employers” ranking was developed this year on the basis of survey responses obtained from half a thousand of the largest companies operating in Poland. This year, the editors asked for aid directed by companies to Ukrainians and their employment after the war outbreak (in 2020 and 2021, protection of employees during the pandemic was among the special criteria). Other questions related to rotation in employment, changes in salary, number of newly hired people, number of all employees under the employment contract.

The authors of the ranking emphasized that the domestic labour market is on the bright side of the Polish economy due to the declining – and one of the lowest in the European Union – unemployment rate (5.4% in March this year). Additionally, they noted the potential for further job filling owing to refugees arriving from Ukraine.

Śnieżka has been operating in Poland for over 35 years, employing over 800 people in three companies: Śnieżka SA, Śnieżka Trade of Colours Sp. z o. o. and Radomska Fabryka Farb i Lakierów SA. The Śnieżka Group appeared in all three editions of the “Wprost” ranking, assessing care for employees.

You can rely on Śnieżka

When Śnieżka-Ukraina’s operations were suspended due to the war in Ukraine, Śnieżka organized assistance for team members and paid salaries to employees in advance.

Śnieżka’s activity was carried out in many areas: transport and shelter for employees and their families who decided to leave the country were provided and help points were organized for people waiting in long queues to cross the Polish border. The Śnieżka-Ukraina’s staff who stayed put together with the Polish employees of the Group provide help to refugees from the eastern part of the country. Thanks to the coordination of Śnieżka’s activities on both sides of the border, it was possible to establish the base of needs, which allowed for precise management of the aid operation. In addition, employees of the Group’s Polish companies participate in a fundraiser organized by Śnieżka for in-kind assistance for refugees, under which nearly PLN 20,000 has already been collected.

From the end of February to mid-May, Śnieżka – not counting the collection conducted among employees – donated a total of about PLN 300,000 to help Ukraine.
